The monograph is devoted to the problem of digitalization of economy and development of information society in the modern era. Recently, information has become crucial as a key economic, political, and social resource. «He who owns information owns the world,» Winston Churchill once said. Indeed, information in today’s world is a strategic resource. Information technologies, software and technical equipment are becoming an integral part of the economic growth of the state. In today’s dynamic technological world, the role of information in the system of economic relations is being rethought. Technologies for obtaining and transmitting information are changing at a rapid pace, which leads to its transformation into one of the most significant factors in the development of production, running business, and interaction between business entities. Information technologies change and simplify many spheres of people’s activities, contributing to the optimization of production processes, the search for new algorithms for managing financial resources, etc. The modern world is experiencing the phenomenon of digital transformation of social life, which generates global economic and social changes. The monograph presents the results of modern scientific research of the team of authors, which reveal the impact of digital tools on economic and social development of the state. The overview of advantages of digital economy is given and the conclusion about the acceleration of digitalization of education and other fields during the pandemic – COVID-19 is made in the monograph. The benefits of implementing this process include informatization of management, digitalization of financial and banking sector, the emergence of new opportunities for learning and mastering modern types of professional activity, creating and maintaining safe and comfortable conditions for human life. The monograph raises such issues as digitalization of health system, use of digital technologies in education, introduction of information technologies in the work of the Ministry of Emergencies of Ukraine and the State Border Service, etc. The monograph consists of such sections: formation of the information society: social and humanitarian aspects; educational and psychological issues of development of information society; modern problems of the development of digital economy; physical culture, sports and physical rehabilitation in the age of informatization of society. In the first section, it is stated that digitalization of economy is influenced by the qualitative characteristics of consumption, and the formation of a model of economic behavior of the consumer requires the application of specific approaches to the function of consumption. The monograph also reveals the threats to the use of the digital economy, related to difficulties in using digital tools caused by a low level of digital literacy, financial fraud, training of insufficiently qualified specialists, etc. The development of digital economy is influenced by such factors as the demand for digital technologies; emergence of innovative technologies; personnel potential; state management; financial resources that ensure the development and introduction of these technologies into production. To overcome threats to the digital economy, it is necessary to implement the joint efforts of authorities at various levels, educational organizations, and employers in solving not only financial problems, but also ensuring that the infrastructure of digital economy meets its personnel needs. In the section «Educational and psychological issues of development of the information society» the key aspects of the impact of information society on education and psychological development are considered. This section aims to investigate and reveal the relationship between the development of information technologies and the transformation of modern educational process, as well as to clarify the psychological aspects associated with the use of information technologies in society. The authors analyze the role of information technologies in the educational process, the introduction of digital resources and pedagogical practices, as well as the challenges that arise in connection with this. In addition, this section presents works that are devoted to the psychological aspects of development of information society. The following topics are raised: social and professional phenomenon «innovative activity of a teacher of a higher educational institution»; innovative 7 approaches to teaching chemical disciplines; novelty and real opportunities in the use of distance learning, respectively narrow profiles in medicine, etc. Such current issues as development of emotional intelligence under the conditions of information society, the influence of Internet addiction on the formation of value orientations and personality development of adolescents are also revealed. The authors consider the impact of information technologies on the psychological state of people, adaptation to the digital environment, problems of digital inequality, as well as issues of security and ethics in the information society. The general purpose of the section is to analyze the main trends and challenges related to the development of information society in the context of education and psychological development. This section provides readers with important insights into contemporary approaches to education and psychology in the digital age, which will help to understand the impact of information on society and people. The third section draws attention to the aspect that mastering a new way of life based on information means forming the information culture of the individual, which is impossible without the simultaneous development of educational sphere in this context. The role of digital economy as a new paradigm of business, marketing, and banking development is substantiated. The goals and targets of digital economy are indicated, the essence of cryptocurrency and its value are revealed. The significance of the digital segment of economy in the activity of a modern company is determined. The fourth section of the monograph «Physical culture, sports and physical rehabilitation in the age of informatization of society» presents various aspects of the impact of digital technologies on the development of physical culture and sports in different population groups; the main trends of transformations of physical education are described, taking into account the needs of modern people; options for the development of physical culture and sports in the information society are proposed. The new direction of the use of information technologies is related to the development of various types of programs for physical rehabilitation, including diagnostic, diagnostic and recommendation programs, etc. The authors of the monograph hope that it contains relevant and useful results of work of modern scientists who conduct scientific research in the areas of studying the impact of innovative information technologies in various fields of economy, education, medicine, economics.
